The fabric is double layered, and a flexible plastic strips runs from top to bottom inside the back seam to help the spats maintain their shape. There are 8 buttons on the side, 6 of which are decorative. The main closure is Velcro. A black elastic strap goes over your ghillies to keep the spats in place.
