This is a Royal Canadian Air Force junior officer’s visor, or peaked, cap from World War II (1939-1945). The hat features a RCAF (also RAF) officer’s cap badge on the front. The rest of the hat is blue gray with a black mohair hat band. The combination of officer rank insignia and lack of leaf ornamentation on the visor signifies the junior officer rank (pilot officer to wing commander).
